singer/songwriter
As a singer/songwriter, Sean’s music sits somewhere between John Mayer and Sufjan Stevens. His sound has been described as dirty folk. He is currently working on an album that he hopes to complete by this coming Winter.
Sean began writing songs and singing several years ago as a welcomed departure to a career as a freelance double bassist in New York City. He attempts to blend much of the music that influences him: pop, classical, jazz, and traditional Irish music.
For the past 6 years, Sean has been the director of the Redeemer Forum for Singer/Songwriters, which is a group that meets monthly through Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City. RFSS has just released a new CD titled In the City that features 6 artists from the group and consists of 10 songs about living in New York City. Sean produced the CD and is one of the artists featured on the album.
Sean is currently living in Brooklyn, NY where he loves all of the restaurants and places to hear live music.
